Sweat It Out takes the sweat level up to 11 with this modern reinterpretation of Kwanzaa Posse’s tribal tinged 'Musika' (1993) by the ever-on-point Yolanda Be Cool. A pounding beat and dynamic bass line interweave with the group’s euphoric chants, making it a certified floor destroyer. The first of three remixes comes from Babert, who transforms Musika into a synth-laden Miami Vice-esque boogie number, with driving piano chords and a thumping bass.
On the flip, things take a more sinister turn, suitable for both a basement club and a big room. GotSome focuses their remix on Kwanzaa Posse’s chopped-up tribal chants, taking the expansive rises and falls to new heights. To close, Dateless strips everything back to a huge, throbbing kick and bass combo, whilst toying with the chants in a dub fashion to release them at key moments before those gut-wrenching drops.
