Viels, ORBE, Mary Yuzovskaya, D-Leria - Various Artists Vol. 7 [Monday Off]

Mary Yuzovskaya’s Monday Off label’s seventh multi-artist release arrives on vinyl in October 2024, with contributions from Viels, ORBE, D-Leria, and Yuzovskaya.

Opening the record, Italy’s End Of Perception founder, Viels, unleashes a storm with “Nero,” a cerebral cut of crushing atmospheres and heavy basslines, accompanied by mysterious alien signals. Next up is ORBE, the Spanish techno mainstay and head of Orbe Records, whose hypnotic “Rigging” explores the abyss with ominous sounds and a continuous sequence of beeps that guides the track forward.

On the B-side, Monday Off label boss Mary Yuzovskaya, delivers “Trouble.” A masterful bassline and a forceful kick drum initiate the journey, providing an excellent foundation as it alternates between rumbling percussion, deep dub stabs, and oddly familiar yet indecipherable vocal snippets. Sound design wizard D-Leria closes out the EP with the mesmerizing “Battito,” complete with trippy melodies and enveloping effects, concluding another high-level psychedelic offering on Monday Off.
