Velour - Remixed [Wolf Music]

Velour’s much-lauded debut album on WOLF Music sees four of its standout tracks remixed by WOLF family members both old and new. Label regulars Frits Wentink and Hulk Hodn are joined by new additions Footshooter and 20/10 for this crisp 10-inch vinyl.

First up, German beatmaker Hulk Hodn fires up the MPC and transforms ‘Tom’s Garage’ into a hazy, swirling cut, while South London’s Footshooter takes ‘Into The Blue’ into an intense synth-laden spiral of broken beat grooves. Over on the flip, and fresh off his Dekmantel release, Frits Wentink puts his idiosyncratic spin on ‘Pose’, twisting it into a vibrant, swirling bass-driven number. To close, Velour’s own Vinzent Wirth, under the guise of 20/10, reimagines ‘Luminate’ into a jazzy, Detroit-influenced house gem perfect for sundown.
