We are back with another installment of incredible disco-era funk with Supafunkanova Volume 3, curated by prolific DJ, producer, remixer and record collector Woody Bianchi! Woody digs deep into his collection, compiling a high-quality album full of lesser-known disco, funk, and boogie. As the title suggests, Supafunkanova focuses on the funkier end of the 70s and 80s, showcasing some of the grooviest beats recorded in the disco era, when even James Brown had to pay attention to the disco explosion inspired by Saturday Night Fever. It will come as no surprise to hear that some especially hard-to-find gems have been unearthed here, and not just rare and expensive (if you can even find a copy!), but they truly deserve to be reissued. With extensive liner notes written by Woody himself to give you deep insight into the music, the artists, and the personal discovery of each record.

We have been working on Volume Three for some time, as the first and second installments were released back in 2007 and 2015 respectively. It takes a while to put these albums together, track down the owners of these musical gems, find the right image for the cover, but it has finally come together well. Once again, ZR offers exceptional value with 21 tracks spread across a Double CD and 16 tracks on Double Gatefold Vinyl.

As always with ZR compilations, a lot of time and effort has gone into creating these masters from the original vinyl, cleaning them, removing all clicks and pops to get the cleanest sounding copy possible.
