Stealth remix action alert! We’re not sure who (or who many) DSO is – internet searches turn up a blank – but the two tracks on this 12” certainly deliver the goods. On the A side, Love You More takes on the Sade classic of the same name, incorporating the 80s soul star’s vocal into a hypnotic deep house groove, complete with dreamy chords and occasional flashes of wine bar-friendly saxophone.

Over on the flip, the mysterious remixer(s) deliver a radically different reinterpretation of Erykah Badu’s 1997 hip-hop soul gem Apple Tree, transforming it into a rolling block of deep house heat. Essentially, it’s soulful 21st century hip-house, with enough depth and atmosphere to delight deep house heads.
