Tom Noble, bi-coastal disco aficionado, Superior Elevation label and record shop founder, and an authentic legend of the scene, unveils a monumental project 15 years in the making: the House of Spirits LP, released by Razor-N-Tape.

Slow-cooked for over a decade, the eight tracks that make up this double 12" are the realization of Tom's unique vision of modern dancefloor soul, with lush live instrumentation and irresistible melodic hooks. With an almost encyclopedic knowledge of decades of club music, Tom draws inspiration from figures like Patrick Adams and the Mizell Brothers to build a sound that, while paying homage to the past, sounds fresh and timeless from the very first moment.

Lead singles 'Times Are Changing' and 'Please Take Me There', along with their remixes by Harvey Sutherland, Makéz, and Sizmo, have already received great support, and 'Holding On', the beloved original House of Spirits single from 2020, appears here with a gleaming new mix. The album opens with 'Love Trip', an uptempo invitation to the sonic world that follows, and covers different moods: from the Brit-funk of 'Time Is Running Out', the mid-tempo groove of 'I Get Lifted', to the downtempo R&B smoothness of 'Diamond Eyes', featuring dreamcastmoe on vocals.

The graphic art, with an ironic nod to records rescued from bargain bins, perfectly completes this package. With meticulously polished mixes and a cut designed to shake the dancefloor, this is an essential record that is sure to become a regular in record bags.

Initial impetus:
The story begins in 2007, in Los Angeles, California. DJ and collector Tom Noble was challenged by his friend Kon: to make a disco track that could stand up to Al Kent's Million Dollar Disco LP.

Background:
Tom had been in bands since 1992 but left that world around 1997 to pursue DJing and selling records. By 2002, he had virtually checked off every rare vinyl on his wish list and began reissuing them through his independent label Lotus Land Records. During that time, he honed his craft and befriended many of the bands he had idolized.
