The Return of Neela Devi kickstarts a vinyl exclusive series where Deep In India’s iconic characters finally take center stage. With the Sampadan era behind us, a bold, refreshed sound is emerging.

Leading the way is Neela Devi herself, with three tracks spanning distinct genres, from vintage disco to spaced-out synths and a slow-burn indie dance. There’s something here for every kind of listener – the groove-seeker, the daydreamer, and the deep digger.

We open with “Maalgaadi 54,” a relentless glam-loaded 70’s disco track, psychedelic layers, and hands-in-the-air energy.
Following is “Cosmic Dirt,” dusty, mysterious, and full of attitude. Think desert synths, dark disco grooves, and an atmosphere straight out of an Indian spaghetti western.
Closing the record is “Beauty Blues,” a slow-burn dub track that gently builds before settling into a bouncy, laid-back groove. A cheeky reinterpretation of a classic that will have you smiling from start to finish.
