Steve Bug & Cle - Let it Go [Nu Groove]

Electronic music pioneer and Poker Flat head honcho Steve Bug is a name that needs little introduction. As one of Germany’s true house masters, he has consistently pushed musical boundaries to become a taste-maker and trend-setter of a generation. Joining once again with his regular collaborator Clé for their joint Nu Groove debut, the duo who have been behind a plethora of elite club cuts now present ‘Let It Go / Suitcase In A Box’ for a label steeped in house history.

Kicking off with ‘Let It Go’, ethereal strings and an enriched smooth vocal combine with a deeply malevolent bassline and acidic synths for a track that sounds like it has been ripped straight from a 90s New York dancefloor. The accompanying Bassmix meanwhile delivers a deeper, more dub-leaning alternative. ‘Suitcase In A Box’ is a little more forceful in its composition, as Steve Bug and Clé’s patented old-school drums, along with another heavy dose of acid influence, layer on a relentless groove for a track destined for discerning dancefloors.
