Seth Troxler, Jackmaster, Ghoulish, Cesar Merveille - Slacker 001

 Slacker 85 is the new record label created by the mind of one of the world's biggest DJs and most recognizable personalities, Seth Troxler. The first release, SLACKER001, brings together Seth and four other artists, each with their own take on modern electronic music, to introduce listeners to Slacker 85's approach to the eccentric, esoteric, and diverse sounds to come from a wide range of artists and genres.

The label debuts with the much-anticipated release of “Pills,” a hypnotic acid groover that has been a staple of Seth’s DJ sets worldwide for the past year. Following this is Jackmaster’s effervescent house tune “Let’s Go,” destined to become a staple on dancefloors globally this summer. Then, rising UK talent Ghoulish delivers “Forever Ugly,” a catchy filtered house tune that harks back to the golden era of Fred Falke and Alan Braxe.

Rounding out the first batch is the collaboration between Cesar Merveille and André Baum (People People / Beyondré) on “The Finish Line.” On this track, the Parisian Cadenza affiliate constructs an analog melodic groove, while New York’s Baum evokes classic 80s electropop with his understated vocal.
