Red Rack'em - Wonky Bassline Disco Banger [Bergerac]

It's been a busy 3 years since Danny Berman aka Red Rack'em last released music on his own Bergerac label. In this time he's been touring tirelessly, released a full album of live disco/punk funk based music under his Hot Coins alias for Sonar Kollektiv, completely updated his biggest hit "In Love Again" to make it a hit for a second time, and released explosive spaced out eccentric party tunes on labels such as Wolf Music, Phonica, City Fly and Telefonplan.

Whilst all this has been happening Bergerac was mostly on hold but now Berman is channelling all his energy back into the label with a vengeance. "Wonky Bassline Disco Banger" is perfectly titled: a rousing intro which builds into a thumping disco house track and just when you think you know where it's going... in comes the trademark eccentric Red Rack'em bass. 150% guaranteed party starter.

"Jazzy House Extension" is pure 2004 vintage Red Rack'em: one for the jazz heads with unhinged piano and an outrageously loud double bass combining to create a euphoric yet thumping moment, capturing the development of a producer learning his craft.

"Destined" is a slightly deranged cutting edge house track, with a distorted pitch shifting fretless bass, plus vocal samples discussing one's destiny. A hypnotic close to the EP.
