Detroit dance luminary, Kyle Hall, is an unstoppable and unmatchable force, having impressed us over the years not with grandiose displays of techno bravado, but with measured exhibitions of groove and syncopation. While Hall hails from Detroit, he finds equally powerful inspiration in the intricacies of deep house and broken beat emerging from the UK. 'Good Hado' enriches his already bulging record bag with four vibrant urban movements, starting with 'Movable', a bona fide dancefloor stomper that holds firm while proving to be dynamic too. Next comes 'In Ya Mind', confirming the half-truth of mind-over-matter, while 'Turquoise Wave' (on the B1) elevates the pad intensity in a more impactful modular jazz exercise. Finally, we close with 'Weed Or Majik', whose relaxed snaps, claps, and flashes suggest the temporary —though often rewarding— risk of mistaking one for the other.
