Felipe Gordon - The Punk Automata EP [GAMM]

Our all time favourite Colombian, hands down, is Felipe Gordon. His unique (and jazzy filled) take on house music and beyond has earned him a large following within the underground dance community. We approached Felipe and asked him if he wanted to release something on GAMM with only one request: “do whatever you want”. The music he sent us turned out to be a beautiful four track EP showcasing all aspects of Felipe Gordon’s unique take on dance music.

The lead track, Self Love, is a warm and intimate jazz excursion also playing around with some quirky electronic ideas… a tune that makes you feel good, but with a twist. The second track, The Punk Automata, has a more driving and punchy rhythm, with a bit more of a dance floor-oriented appeal. On the third track, Your Feelings, we go into darker territory with a deep house cut perfect for the late hours… a real banger! On the last track, Felipe teams up with Bob The Egoist (great name) for a deep and musical vocal track titled Please Don't Go.

Do not forget the amazing artwork contributed by our favourite Scotsman, Mr. Al Kent. This man has a real magic touch when it comes to creating authentic designs for vinyls.
