Laurent Garnier joins the fabric presents mix series, and details are now available for this special, milestone bespoke release. The innovative DJ and producer will deliver not one, but four mixes, seizing the opportunity to do something even bigger for the iconic London institution on its landmark 25th anniversary. This multi-genre, wide-ranging release will feature a UK-centric mix, house, techno, and downtempo. In his words, “diversity enriches it, makes it better.” With a desire to pay homage to the vibrancy of club culture, his vision is to take us through an electrifying weekend at fabric, from Friday right through to the afters. To make it even more unique, he will also be releasing an original four-track EP, one for each genre.

Garnier: “Clubs have been my second home since the very beginning of my career. Once you have experienced that unique connection you can create in a club with people, once you’ve lived it from behind the decks, you know you are where you should be. This special journey with fabric is, of course, an homage to the legendary London club — a place that has been a home for so many clubbers, DJs, and music lovers for so many years — but most of all, an homage to all dance floors and all clubs around the world.”

Sifting through hundreds of records a day, it’s no surprise Garnier describes the track selection process as “complicated.” His enriching fabric journey spans over five hours, with each mix hitting 1 hour 20 minutes. Across all four mixes, it's clear Garnier is immersed in the present and focused on the future, as most of the selected tracks were released in the last three years.

The House Odyssey mix kicks off with afro house from South African producer Mr. Blasé, with the energy continuing with cuts from Cape Verde to Chicago, where new names like Culoe De Song, Neinzer, and Tal Fussman meet stalwarts like DJ Spen, DJ Lady D, and Mike Dunn. In techno, his Rhythmic Resonance mix delivers high-intensity moments with tracks from Red Axes, John Tejada, Electric Rescue, Works of Intent, and three epic productions of Garnier’s own. A UK-centric approach drives the Into The Low-End session, which pays tribute to fabric’s bass devotees with tracks from Skrillex, MC GQ, Sami Virji, and Martin Badder. Finally, On The Way Home winds down to a downtempo key, with enveloping explorations from Daudi Matsiko, Adriano Koch, Richie Culver, and Melody Gardot, among others.

His EP further demonstrates his mastery of genres. The house cut Odyssée Maison promises to conquer dance floors with the vocals of Dan Diamond, while Resonances From The D is aimed at techno fans, with stuttering rhythms, ascending synths, and scattered hi-hats. Playing With The Low-End is a bass-heavy maze that looms powerfully before On The Way Home closes with a shower of floating synths.

A release designed for collectors, especially as the limited vinyl and CD editions are available only in physical format from November 29th. The deluxe vinyl edition includes a custom box, colored vinyls with the mixes, the 12” EP, and a photo booklet by Garnier. The CD comes in an etched aluminum tin with “25 Years of fabric” and a booklet.
