Claro Intelecto - Peace Of Mind [Delsin]

In March 2003, Claro Intelecto marked his entry into the world of electronic music with his *Peace Of Mind EP* on Ai Records. Now, a decade later, Delsin, the label on which he released his last album, reissued it in all its splendor. Across four perfectly structured tracks, the EP demonstrated that Manchester's Mark Stewart had an outstanding command of techno, electro and dub, as well as the ability to bring his unique touch to each genre.

Perhaps the best-known track on the EP is *Peace of Mind (Electrosoul)*, a vibrant piece of house blended with electro, loaded with sparkling melodic lines and Claro's characteristic lush strings. Then comes *Tone*, a much more energetic and aggressive techno track, with raw and hard-hitting percussion, bubbling synth lines and a dystopian electro atmosphere. *Contact* takes us into a deep, dubby, spacious groove, with airy hi-hats and a delicious, effortlessly flowing bassline, while the final track, *Signifier*, closes the EP in serenely beautiful style, full of undulating ambient pads, organic synths and a curious bassline that rises and falls like the tide.
