Cinthie joins the Heist family with an EP full of lush and epic house music, including 3 original tracks and a remix by St. David.

Cinthie is the kind of artist that seems to be everywhere at once. Over the last few years, we’ve seen her compile a luscious DJ Kicks compilation, release numerous EP’s on labels like Aus Music, run one of Berlin’s finest record shops (Elevate Records), tour the world energetically and build a new live show. Her EP for Heist has been in the works for a long, long time and it’s a real pleasure to finally present the “Música para Discotecas” EP. Spoiler alert: it’s an uncompromised record, with tracks that have no filler, just the way we like it.

In classic Cinthie style, this EP sees the Berlin based artist exploring various sides of house music, starting off with the vocal track “Won’t u take me”. Lush pads, snare rolls and a dreamy female vocal work together to create a warm and classy house tune with a clear nod to 90’s US house, but with a solid footing in the present.

“Piano Heaven” takes you on an Italo meets deep house excursion, straight to… drumroll…: Piano Heaven. A steady 909 beat and a deceptively simple bassline form the track’s foundation, but it’s the keys (and strings) that take this track to its full peak-time potential. The energy on this track is of the “hands in the air / screaming at the top of your lungs” kind and it’s already become a prime mover in Cinthie’s live show.

On the flip side of the vinyl, Cinthie explores the more jumpy and electronica-laced side of the dance spectrum, with the infectious footwork-inspired track “Masterplan”. Think classic 808’s, looped synths and a cleverly placed spoken vocal that lifts the track to a very danceable, and quite simply, really fun level.

The final track on the EP is a masterfully crafted remix by Italian house master St. David, who Cinthie has always admired. He has delivered a dazzling take on “Piano Heaven”: a deep and energetic strain of deep house, full of sweeps, fx and beeps that build up to an utterly hypnotic effect.
