Cinthie - Best Modus 09 [Beste Modus]

Berlin’s Beste Modus has been going from strength to strength over the last five years, with the DJ and producer collective making their mark on the German capital’s local scene and worldwide. Here we see two of its members contributing two tracks each for the ninth release on the imprint.

Cinthie takes on the A-side and kicks things off with ‘Everything I Say’, employing choppy synth stabs, a groovy bassline and swinging 909 drums, alongside a catchy vocal, before ‘Good For You And Me’ delves into Garage territory, fusing bright piano chords and a bumping bassline with synth stabs, alongside tension-building strings and soulful vocal lines. Over on the B-side, we find two cuts from stevn.aint.leavn. The first, ‘Quins’, takes a more minimalistic approach with rumbling sub-bass, metallic percussion and a choppy synth line. ‘Spiff’ closes out the package with a series of organic drum hits, mellow chords, airy bells and swirling electronic synths that dynamically unfold throughout the track.
