Charlotte de Witte - Formula EP [KNTXT]

Just six months after her massive Rave On Time EP, Charlotte de Witte returns to her own KNTXT label with another standout release featuring three exciting new tracks.

Despite the global pandemic, Charlotte didn't slow down in 2020. Her label continued to deliver cutting-edge techno, she participated in several high-profile streams during lockdown, and she was voted the World’s No. 1 DJ in DJ Mag’s Alternative Top 100 poll. Additionally, she won the title of Best Producer at the Red Bull Elektropedia Awards, her Selected EP earned silver in the Best EP category, and she took home bronze for Artist of the Year. She closed out the year with a spectacular set on the virtual Tomorrowland mainstage on New Year’s Eve, and now kicks off 2021 with another must-have EP.

Charlotte comments: “I’ve always been fascinated by the world of high-adrenaline racing. Fast movements, being in the moment, racing through life, eyes on the future. As far as concepts go for an EP, this is one of my favourites so far.”

That concept is reflected in the electrifying tracks, starting with Doppler, a hard-hitting techno weapon with rhythmic drums and urgent, alarm-like synths over a heavy groove. It’s a track that keeps you on edge as strobes flash across an immense dancefloor. RPM ramps up the intensity with dazzling acid lines cutting through the mix. Deep drums drive forward relentlessly as a lead synth pulls you into a dark, deep hole. *Formula* closes the EP urgently with revving engine sounds, forceful kicks, and eerie melodic loops, forming a vast and essential wall of techno sound.
