Eight years after their last single release "Tatischeff" on Innervisions, the German duo Âme continues to be at the forefront of electronic music and looks to the future with their catalog number 100. For the main track, 'The Witness', Âme teams up with Syrian-Armenian-American vocalist and songwriter KÁRYYN, whose enigmatic and thought-provoking lyricism has inspired artists like Björk. She combines her musical production with a symbiotic spoken-word performance that merges with Wiedemann and Beyer's hypnotic minimalism, transporting us to an entirely different dimension.

Experimenting with voices and personalities, Âme's Frank Wiedemann and Kristian Beyer explore a more intense sound with the new release. Despite their prominence in house music, the IV100 notably combines the unique sounds of Wiedemann and Beyer's solo performances (live and DJ sets) with techno characteristics, commenting that "this EP could be seen as the greatest common denominator."
