Adam Beyer - Let's Begin [Drumcode]

Following the most prolific year of his production career, Adam Beyer kicks off 2024 with another standout EP, ‘Let’s Begin’, which takes influences from the 90s Drumcode sound with a modern twist. Looking back to move forward, the three-track offering starts with ‘Let’s Begin’ and sees Beyer lean into faster tempos and robust rhythms to create a high octane, atmosphere-charged cut that hits you squarely between the eyes. An absolutely stunning peak-time tune which featured in recent performances at Club Blitz in Munich and Amnesia in Milan. ‘Computerized’ is a dance floor mentalism masterpiece, bringing shades of hardcore-influenced vocals and menacing synth lines reminiscent of early 2000s Frankfurt. No surprise this track generated maximum energy at Beyer’s New Year’s Eve gigs in the US at Teksupport and Insomniac’s Countdown NYE event. Fresh out of the studio, ‘Red Room’ is a dreamy belter that incorporates subtle suggestions of classic British hard dance four-to-the-floor rhythms, before an industrial synth section ramps up the intensity. Exciting stuff! "This new trio of tracks is more raw techno-orientated and an homage to early Drumcode material. It’s a reinterpretation of the 90s sound mixed with new modern elements. For this release, I wanted to take the Adam Beyer techno sound from that period and bring it up to date. It’s dirty with a fresh twist, straightforward and to the point. This project is not a statement, it’s more of a release that was inspired by the big techno shows."
