Yuksek - Yuksek Edits [Razor-N-Tape]

French producer Yuksek has released plenty of music over the last 15 years, though this seems to be his first collection of re-edits. You'll want to check out delicious opener "How I Love To Dance", a wobbly take on an obscure, quirky disco number rich in Patrick Adams style instrumentation and well-placed dub delays. "The Beat", meanwhile, with its heavy emphasis on the drums, features waves of eccentric percussion, a pulsating bassline and plenty of weighty sound effects. Elsewhere, "Think Of You" is a head-nodding revision of a disco/disco-rock AOR cut that sounds like it could have been re-edited by Eric Duncan, and "Dance In Disco" is a seductive French disco gem full of heavily accented English language vocals and jazzy electric piano solos.
