Yelfris Valdes’ 2019 debut LP, For The Ones…, saw the Cuban trumpet player exploring the spiritual depth of his Yoruban heritage, subtly weaving its rich vocal traditions with electronic textures and live instrumentation to create a pulsating and immersive soundscape. Deliberately transforming the acoustic tone of his trumpet, he adds layers of depth without losing its emotive power and delicacy. The result is a bold and experimental evolution in his songwriting, building on his classical training and deep love of jazz, whilst journeying further into the realm of electronica.

Now, with a stunning cast of innovative producers — Quantic, K15, LCSM, Osunlade, Maxwell Owin & Contours — key moments from the album are reimagined for the dance floor. Infused with cosmic trumpet melodies, psychedelic textures, and infectious grooves, these remixes breathe new life into Yelfris’ original vision.
