With “Moppa Habax NB,” our beloved Robag takes certain elements from the original — especially the bittersweet vocals and gentle guitar strumming — and weaves them around a strong, functional house groove. The twilight feel is still there, but now with an ultraviolet glow and those peculiar twists that have become hallmarks of both Mr. Wruhme and the Pampa label.

Flipping the record over, we hear Robag take Vondelpark’s pop tune even further into the realm of a dub-tinged DJ tool on “Habay Latoff NB,” placing it over a mechanical, hand-cranked pulse that’s more tech than house. The vocals are reduced to a simple atmospheric element, letting Robag's hums and rattles speak for themselves, while elongated melodic phrases float underneath, with enough sonic surprises to make your ears smile. Get the vinyl version now: R&S will not offer these remixes in digital format until later in the year.
