Vil & Cravo - Caress 001 [Caricia Records]

Caricia Records’ debut sees long-time collaborators VIL and CRAVO honing the language they’ve developed over years of working together, both individually and within the Hayes collective. Between them, their releases on labels like Monnom Black, Klockworks, Self Reflektion and the Hayes Collective’s own imprint have consistently balanced precision with character, and this first chapter on their new label is no exception.

The EP opens with “So Right”, which sets a definite tone with rolling percussions and a hypnotic vocal line cutting through the mix with restraint and control. “420% FODA” leans into a classic swing and tight textures, built for movement without overstating its hand. On the B-side, CRAVO delivers “Future Detroit”, a minimal piece with room to breathe, subtle in its shifts but firm in its intention. VIL closes with “Hard to Find”, a playful closer that keeps the energy light and dynamic, moving forward without losing shape.

Caricia 001 is about clarity of purpose: no filler or theatrics, just four tracks that speak for themselves.
