Equally adept on the decks and in the studio, Victor Calderone has traversed the globe playing to thousands and creating some of electronic music’s most iconic tracks and remixes. His new double-header release on Nervous Records is a collaboration with renowned producer & DJ, Mykol. Together they’ve crafted an EP with the percussive power needed to move any dancefloor in 2025, and that, through its inspired use of vocal and musical elements, reflects their roots as born-and-bred New Yorkers, shaped by the city’s nightlife and music culture.

“What You Want” features the legendary Byron Stingily, Chicago house singer and Ten City vocalist, celebrated for his signature falsetto. Here he delivers a darkly-toned spoken word sermon over a bed of driving house drums, charged with dark energy and an early-morning soul. Electric synth patterns weave in and out, adding drama to this deeply flavored groove. “What You Want” is also presented in a more minimalist, yet equally powerful, dub version, full of subtle and ingenious studio effects.

“Take You Back” offers a sweeping house sound, with deep basses and drums and playful synth patterns that dance over the beat. A hypnotic female vocal pulls you deeper and deeper into a track that is as emotional as it is physical, fiery yet sensual.
