The Los Angeles-based label SSLA has been closely linked for years to Sunday Sessions, the event series focused on DJs exploring the depths of their vinyl collections. The label's physical releases are infrequent—the last one appeared almost two years ago—but they always prove to be essential collections showcasing the work of various affiliated artists.

There's plenty here to get the pulse racing on this new four-track EP: from the organic house beats laden with bongos, warm bass, and the subtle spacey touch of deep house in Rumps' "Get Funky," through the classic West Coast deep house hypnotism of Genning's "Sunflower," to the deep/tech-house fusion with San Francisco-style tech nuances in Yamen & EDA's "Parasol," and the relaxed, enveloping downtempo warmth of BOORA's "Black Benz."
