Summer and the seventh installment of Running Back's acclaimed various artists series are here. This time around it consists of five tracks spanning the spectrum of cunning and contemplative dance music. Taking care of the A-side, Ricardo Baez and Josh Micky demonstrate the surprising alliance between pianos and Italo basslines to create powerful modern disco tracks - high moments, guaranteed fun. Jannis from BSS spins this concept with a different kind of piano track: hypnotic deep house without falling into the usual clichés. Bryolfur and regular Running Back collaborator Storken opt for a psychedelic and complex disco with Twist, while Jonus Eric ticks all the IDM and brain dance boxes with Ribbon. Easy to take in and good value for money.
