Following Volume 1, this second installment of Classic's 30th anniversary series delves even deeper into the label's visionary, genre-bending catalog, balancing pioneering remixes, cult favorites, and future classics.

Once again, this 2x12" release comes in a carefully crafted raw cardboard sleeve with reverse print, a tactile nod to Classic's early releases. Inside, the GMUND cardboard sleeves in teal and deep green, with embossed details, elevate the set into a true collector's item, befitting the music it contains.

Disc One opens with one of the most revered remixes in house history. Isolée's 'Beau Mot Plage' (Freeform Reform Parts 1 & 2), originally licensed from German label Playhouse and lovingly reworked by Anu Pillai of Freeform Five alongside a live ensemble. It’s an expansive, euphoric journey that helped define Classic's international reach and is still considered one of the best house records ever pressed.

Next up is Greenskeepers’ 'Bang in Your Face?', an unclassifiable banger that showcases the quirky ‘G-swing’ sound that James Curd and his crew became known for during their long relationship with the label.

On the flip side, Pepé Bradock’s stunning rework of Iz & Diz’s ‘Mouth’ takes center stage: a remix composed entirely of human sounds, equally sensual and surreal. Unanimously acclaimed, it's a masterclass in sonic innovation and remains one of the most celebrated house remixes of all time.

The side closes with Markus Nikolai’s beloved ‘Bushes’, in its First Re-Creation (Version 1.2) by Classic co-founder Derrick Carter: a distinctive, maximalist edit that enhances the Latin brass, strings, and peculiar vocals, transforming a cult hit into an unmistakably ‘Classic’ anthem.

Disc Two captures Classic's renewed energy in the 2010s.
Folamour’s ‘Devoted To U’, taken from his LP Umami, is a 10-minute groove odyssey: warm, progressive, and cinematic, with ascending piano lines and a remarkable narrative richness.

It's followed by Crazy P’s ‘One True Light’, which shines with spatial textures, cosmic energy, and the deep, natural groove the band has perfected over decades.

On Side D, we find Girls of the Internet’s ‘When U Go’, an exuberant and emotionally rich piece that combines soulful vocals with clean, spacious production, balancing melancholy and movement.

Closing Volume 2 is Sophie Lloyd’s now iconic ‘Calling Out’, featuring the unstoppable vocal power of Dames Brown. A modern gospel-disco-house anthem that sparkles with raw energy, live instrumentation, and spiritual fire, solidifying its place as one of Classic's defining moments of the last decade.
