Brooklyn Sway's seventh release could best be described as the “black market edition,” but, as always, we leave the detective work to those resourceful enough to figure it out for themselves. Thugfucker veteran Acid Tourist, and BKS stalwart DeWinter, remix West Coast celebutant ROC's rendition of a track that needs no introduction, transforming an emotional song into an acid thump while keeping its quality intact.

Charles Levine, better known as Charlie from Soul Clap, stays close to his usual antics with “Ocean Waves & Ashtrays”—his ashtrays obviously full of blunt remains as he works his voodoo on a sensual, keyboard-heavy funk tune, ideal for beach afterhours or smoky late-night sessions.

Returning for a second appearance on BKS, Ohm Hourani’s “SupaDupaFly” brings the funk back, with rap vocal samples slipping just inside the industry’s 10% rule, amid synths swaying back and forth, creating an extended, somewhat dizzying effort that is sure to influence sobriety decisions.

On “Hearts & Diamonds,” label boss Jay Prouty and stablemate David Paglia team up to hack two legendary NYC freestyle anthems, blending them into a result more reminiscent of New Order’s best era. So, when you observe Fumero’s psychedelic painting winking at you on the sleeve after a few spins, you’ll perfectly understand why the sway resides in Bucktown.
