V/A Selected By DJ Alfredo PARAISO - The True Spirit of Ibiza - Bonus Sampler 1 [Rebirth]

Following the rapid sell-out of the 2LP of Alfredo’s joy-filled selection, Rebirth continues with the first of the sample EPs collecting rare, much-loved and previously unreleased gems. Deep Joy, known for their stint as Brainiak (and Mo’ Wax), had their impressive track “Fall” remixed by Lord Sabre, aka Andrew Weatherall himself; an often-overlooked early-90s dragged-out groove indie delight.

The Thrashing Doves and their scene-setting classic, “Je$u$ on the Payroll,” need little introduction, but this unreleased instrumental version, as indicated, had never before been released on vinyl. Flipping it over, we find another hip-hop and club hybrid with KC Flightt’s “Let’s Get Jazzy,” with its iconic sound remixed by the legendary Blaze; and to close, the perfect sunrise/sunset jam “Blinky Blue Eyed Sunrise” by The Metaluna Mutant. A must-have for any lover of the White Isle and its legacy.
