V/A - Gomma Dancefloor Gems Vol. 1 [Toy Tonics]

The Toy Tonics label presents a collection of songs originally released on the German label GOMMA RECORDS between 2001 and 2010. Gomma was one of the key labels of the 2000s indie dance wave, alongside labels such as James Murphy's DFA and Trevor Jackson's OUTPUT Records. As the 90s revival, which dominated fashion and electronic music in recent years, reached its peak (Techno and Electronica are pure 90s nostalgia music), the Toy Tonics group thought it was a good time to remember some of these early 2000s songs that had a rawer, indie disco, and funk punk vibe. It was a different energy in those party days. Gomma was happening in off-the-beaten-path clubs in Berlin, such as SCALA and RIO, London's TRASH parties or 333, and the "Kill The DJ" and Paris Paris clubs in Paris.
