Buenos Aires-based artist Santiago Garcia joins Upercent in his native Valencia, honestly integrating their unique approaches to music and harmonizing their sensibilities to offer an unpretentious look into the process of building a home, both literally and figuratively. Presenting the birth of their new label, Interpret, these talented DJs/producers lean on their personal and artistic connection, their versatility on and off the decks, and an affinity for metaphors to create a safe space for interpretation and a canvas for symphonic expression. INT01 is storytelling at its finest, honest, and genuine, divided into four distinctive and equally captivating tracks that arise naturally from generously exploring sounds and nurturing instinct.

"Discontrol" opens with a lively beat, a restless bassline, warm claps, and a playful touch, conveying anxiety and euphoria simultaneously. Saturating the sound space with an industrial groove, rock attitude, and grunge distortions, A1 dissolves the feeling of saturation through psychedelic vibrations, wet textures, and locomotive-like riffs, blending the human and the mechanical into precise arrangements that distinguish music from mere noise.

A2, “Bonaire,” is a gateway to a kaleidoscope of curious landscapes and mazes of seductive harmonies driven by enveloping melodies and polyphonic collisions that endlessly replicate and satisfy. An elegant, Spanish-tinged lament cascades over the track, seeping into its details, and like the “bon aire” (good air), it proves persuasive and enveloping not only to the body but also to the soul.

On the B-side, “Sowell” (B1) overflows with energy from the start, with a robust bass and bright percussion giving way to nostalgic piano chords towards a luminous climax. The emotional tremor of this bold 7:08 minute electronic ballad and its intrepid vibrations penetrate even deeper as enigmatic voices—neutral or rather universal in character—elevate the piece. “Moqueta” boasts a captivating hook, effusive bounces, haunting synth stretches, and a climatic drop that fuels euphoric dreams. The adrenaline remains high in this closer, driving victorious ambitions with playful rebellion: just what's needed for an iconic dancefloor track to sound better and better over time, ascending and descending the stairs of a moving nirvana.
