Echo Ltd. continues to distill dub techno down to what can only be described as its most minimal quintessence. Yet on their fifth release, they go further by skillfully combining elements of 4x4 dub techno with traditional dub – most tracks on this curious mini-album feature a wood block on every third beat of the bar. ‘LFO’ is our pick; it’s the perfect segue from an ambient dub intro into a broken beat or deep dubstep mix.
