Young imprint Shadow Pressings already made their mark with their debut release in March, entitled the Chicago EP, garnering support from artists such as Hunee, Terry Farley, and Luke Solomon, amongst others. Capitalizing on their momentum, the label is back with four powerful tracks for the dance floor, including acid-tinged edits, crunchy deep house, 808 electro grooves, and dusty breakbeats.

The lead track, Find A Friend, elevates a perennial classic with 808 rims and toms, along with additional synths, maintaining a repetitive and dynamic focus. Holding One Shoe continues with the 808 theme, but adds a healthy dose of acid, resulting in something that sounds like a lost Yazoo b-side, filtered through a lysergic lens. Train Of Fools decontextualizes a well-known acapella, turning it into a deep and technical basement track, ideal for keeping the floor moving and the speakers rattling.

Closing out the EP, we have More Music In The Night, which chops up familiar samples and blends them with an 808 electro groove and breakbeats, offering a fresh take on early 90s house.
