"Dreaming Of Detroit" transports us to the spirit of Motor City without needing to be physically there: "Siren In Orbit" and "Burnt Coral" revel in abstractions of mood and place without falling into epic pastiche; "Flying Voice" leans towards the technical, with rainstick-like organs and mystical-ethnic voices fluttering in the background.

Meanwhile, "Dancing Star," "Mirror Reflection," and "Dreaming Of Detroit" mark a thoughtful return to chord-laden Detroit dub, awakening from the daydream and closing with an ingenious A-side that brings feet back to the dancefloor.
