A hard-hitting booty house sampler inspired by the mid-nineties sound marks the debut of Cobra Edits, a new label that is simultaneously releasing its first three EPs on vinyl. While the other releases explore disco and more refined house territories, this delivery opts for raw energy completely focused on the dance floor, incorporating influences from ghetto house, the Detroit sound, and French filter house associated with Thomas Bangalter's legendary Roule catalog.

The opening track is a reinterpretation of a Todd Terry classic, packed with a rough, jackin' energy from start to finish. "TDoMax" is a hypnotic and repetitive track, with edges so worn and distorted they almost make your eyes water. "P165" stands out with an organic and live-played bassline that could well have come from an early Roni Size production. Finally, "ExtDry" is an authentic exercise in mental intensity, with machines running at their limit and playful melodic lines that offer no respite.
