Format: Japanese Import LP.
Released in 1976 by Chicago's local label Stage Productions, this is the only album by a six-member soul band centered around the four Burton brothers. The original version rarely appears on the market, and when it does, it sells for over $1000; it's no exaggeration to say that this is a definitive collector's edition, the one everyone wants to own at least once in their lifetime.
Starting with the epic and groovy funk “OPEN SOUL” (B1), which takes up the entire B-side of the record and spans over 20 minutes, the excellent funk track “Let’s Get With The Beat” (A5), and the crushing instrumental “Hurt Perversion” (A3), this album is packed with gems from beginning to end.
