To mark the 20th anniversary of his cult debut album We Have Sound, multi-instrumentalist and creative iconoclast Tom Vek today releases We Have Sound Remixed via StrataSonic Records: an album of 10 tracks, presented in their original order, reimagining the influential work for a new era.

Spearheaded by remixed singles from Glass Animals, Everything Everything and IS TROPICAL, the project is completed by a stellar cast whose sonic identities can be traced back to Vek's DIY spirit and constant genre mutation, including alt-J, Baths, Porij and more.

We Have Sound is widely recognized as one of the seminal albums that shaped electronic indie. Dave Bayley of Glass Animals states that the record is “one of several responsible for us ending up making our music.” Meanwhile, alt-J's Gus Unger-Hamilton adds: “I have loved this album since I was fifteen. Paul Epworth’s version of ‘Phones’ opened my eyes to the art of the remix.”

We Have Sound Remixed is a rare tribute, curated by Vek himself, with each artist carefully selected and invited to reinterpret the record that helped shape their creative DNA.
