Following his excellent Rhy EP last October, Tim Engelhardt makes a compelling return to Watergate Records.

A prodigious talent at just 22 years old, Cologne-based Engelhardt is at the forefront of Germany's new wave of electronic music talent. Prolific and passionate in equal measure, the artist kept busy during lockdown by sharing a series of tracks and edits he made on Bandcamp under the title The Notebook. His refined production approach improves with each release, as demonstrated by his latest offering, Rooted.

The lead track opens with a hard-hitting kick drum pattern, before a blend of organic percussion and a multi-layered keyboard sequence give the track a memorable flair. "Brought to Bare" combines golden soundscapes, undulating rhythms, and bubbling drum lines.
