Tim Engelhardt - Prophecy EP [Watergate Records]

Tim Engelhardt's prodigious talent returns to Watergate with his third EP.

The young producer has been very active throughout 2020; he released a new album Idiosynkrasia on Stil Vor Talent, remixed Trentemøller, and gifted Watergate with another excellent EP, Rooted, among other activities.

The Prophecy EP continues his knack for crafting exquisite compositions that evoke a warm, cocoon-like atmosphere. The title track puts his sound design skills front and center, as delicate melodic flourishes are accompanied by a hummed vocal line, piano, and expansive pads. Polygon Particles is an intricate acoustic jam centered around a robust bassline, undulating synths, and keyboards, building to an energetic finale. Connected in Silence, evocative, closes out the trio of tracks, driven by a crisp percussive core and melancholic, wide-spectrum soundscapes.
