Shrouded in mystery when it first appeared, Tiger & Woods' debut album quickly took on a life of its own. With little more than rumour surrounding the project, the music spoke for itself: a collection of expansive disco builds lovingly fine-tuned, remixed, overdubbed, chopped, and rebuilt by the elusive duo of Larry Tiger & David Woods. What began as a cult phenomenon soon caused a stir in dancefloors and record bags around the world.

Now, for the first time, that legendary debut finally comes to vinyl. Through the Green captures Tiger & Woods at the precise moment their distinctive language of groove began to take shape. Rooted in the spirit of disco edits but expanding beyond that format, the album combines loop-driven funk, near-house energy, and that unmistakable bounce that would soon become their trademark.

It’s the sound of two producers perfecting a style that would later blossom on albums such as On The Green Again, where their approach broadened to a more diverse palette of boogie, electronica, Italo, and uptempo house. But this is where the story begins.

Before world tours, live sets, and the establishment of their own T&W Records label, there were these tracks: hypnotic, playful, and crafted with a dancer's instinct for managing tension and release. Each cut unfolds as a perfect, extended club moment, full of warmth, swing, and that unmistakable sense of fun and functionality so unique to Tiger & Woods.
