The Sunburst Band, Joey Negro, Prospect Park, Jakatta - Attack The Dancefloor – Special Remix EP [Z Records]

The 17th release in our Attack The Dancefloor series, which has always been a vinyl-only affair. This time we have some exclusive remixes to offer on this special remix edition of the series. First up we have Freerange boss to remix the classic Sunburst Band track "He Is." The mighty Jimpster has delivered a rich and sublime mix that truly deserves to be called Deep House. Smooth Rhodes notes shimmer over deep bass, dubby guitars and fuzzy echoes. The entire track is permeated with Jimpster's deft touch as a producer, and we believe this is one of his best remixes. A heavenly remix, you could say. Next up, we have a lost remix from Andres of Joey Negro's "I Recognise." Never before released, it was unearthed deep within a hard drive in the ZR archives, and now sees the light of day it deserves. Andres does what we've come to expect from him, delivering a bass-heavy, MPC-driven remix, using the synth lines and vocoder to great effect. Fresh off a string of successful remixes for Glitterbox, JKriv of Razor n Tape turns the disco arpeggios up to 11 with his vibrant remix of Prospect Park's "The Kinda Love," featuring live strings and percussion. And last but not least, The Visions' dreamy piano-driven remix of Jakatta's "My Vision," featuring lead vocals by none other than Seal.
