Our unending quest for the ultimate vinyl Holy Grail has led us to find many rarities and hotly-tipped gems along the way, and The Sidewinders' Flatfoot Hustlin' is no exception. Incredibly rare — so much so that it only started to become known to collectors in recent years — this is another fantastic example of top-tier 70s funk and soul that would undoubtedly be in anyone's collection... if only it had been pressed in larger quantities and properly released.

It was a terribly cold night in Nova Scotia, Canada (yes, Canada!) when The Sidewinders gathered in an unheated studio for a couple of days to record Flatfoot Hustlin', their first and only album. They had been a professional touring band for many years, with a polished, solid, and smooth sound. The recording was finished, and the release was imminent... but then things started to go wrong.
