Having recently demonstrated his scalpel skills on a stunning double 12-inch for Hot Biscuit Recordings, The Mighty Zaf once again joins forces with his usual studio partner, Linkwood, to deliver two new re-interpretations already tried and tested on the dance floor.

“Get Another Love” is particularly powerful: the duo combines elements of a vintage disco-soul track —bright guitars, bass, vocals, and string arrangements— with the rhythm of a classic-sounding drum machine that alternates between the sweaty jack of Chicago house and post-electro swing.

On the other hand, “He Made You Mine” is a straightforward edit of a slow, enveloping, romantic, brass-laden disco-soul gem that, halfway through, transitions from intimate and warm downtempo beauty to a powerful dance floor explosion.
