The Deepshakerz - Give It 2 U [Crosstown Rebels]

The Deepshakerz return to Crosstown Rebels with a new three-track EP titled Give It 2 U. The Italian duo presents three original productions in what marks their second appearance on the label.

Hailing from Bari, The Deepshakerz make their highly anticipated return to Damian Lazarus’ iconic label with this new EP, which promises to kick off May in style. This release marks an exciting return to the label's catalog, following their 2023 debut with Fire, in collaboration with Aaron Pfeiffer, and reinforces their reputation for a percussive, groove-laden sound, present in works for labels such as Moon Harbour, Knee Deep In Sound, and Glasgow Underground.

The Give It 2 U EP features three tracks that reflect the duo's constant evolution, with influences ranging from afro house to early Chicago house. The lead track, Give It 2 U, opens the EP with contagious percussion and an energetic groove that sets the tone for the release. On the B-side, The Beginning Groove delves into more hypnotic and deep territories, with enveloping rhythms and catchy stabs. Finally, Green Light, featuring Dennis Wonder, shifts the focus with a direct dancefloor groove, combining agile drums, uplifting melodies, and smooth vocals.
