Terrence Parker - Tribute [Intangible Records]

This special release is dedicated to Detroit DJ legend Ken Collier. His untimely departure deeply affected me on a personal level, as he was one of the few who always supported my music and me. Thanks to Ken Collier, Detroit developed a dance scene that inspired artists and producers to create records for the dance floor, which gave birth to techno, a genre that has provided careers for many of you in the industry today. That's why I dare to ask all techno producers, DJs, record labels, record stores, techno magazines, clubs that program this music, and fans of the genre, to pay tribute to Ken Collier as they would to any other of our great musical innovators.

However, this special compilation is not about techno, but about H.O.U.S.E. sounds, broadcast live to you from within and in beautiful ste - re - o!!. This record contains no artist names or tracklist because I don't want it to be about who made the tracks, or the titles, or even who wrote this text. This record is my personal tribute to him and how he motivated me to make my own contributions to house music.
Thank you, Ken Collier, for helping me grow not only as a DJ or producer, but as a person. Every DJ and dance music artist in Detroit owes you thanks for having gone into the musical forest, cut down trees, and thereby paved the way for us to build the HOUSE.
