Terrence Parker - Real Love [Intangible Records & Soundworks]

A second run for Terrence Parker's 'Real Love' EP, a beautiful, late-90s-style deep house gem that the Detroit stalwart originally released on his Intangible label in late 2017. The record includes full and instrumental versions of two distinctly different takes.

On the A-side, we find the "Slave Key" mixes, where tight early 90s-style synth stabs, dreamy chords, and introspective vocal snippets dance over a driving bassline and purposeful house drums, true to Parker's style.

On the B-side, it's all about the "Piano Parkside" versions, two brighter, more positive-energy-charged takes, where piano bursts and solos glide over a more robust house groove and a thicker bassline.

All four versions sound like Parker recorded them in the early days of his extensive career, although whether that was truly the case remains a mystery.
