Black magic, what is that supposed to be? A spell meant to harm others? Usually, yes. However, Taron-Trekka is driven by the best intentions: they rather seek the magic of the night and, as always, solely want to symbolically destroy the dance floors of this world.

Indeed, no one has been harmed by the four tracks on their Black Magic EP (the final part of their "Magic" trilogy), although they certainly possess a special magic.

Of course, Taron-Trekka doesn't make planes disappear, walk through the Great Wall of China, or perform arrogant tricks à la David Copperfield. They are more like street hustlers or skilled card players. You know, those guys who surprise you when you least expect it. The ones who already tricked your mind while you were still thinking the real trick was just about to begin.

Taron-Trekka masters the groove and weaves a web of loops that magically creates immense energy. Loops where the slightest change can open up entire worlds. Worlds that seem accessible but are difficult to decipher. Thus, simple tools become magical tracks. And house transforms into music that leaves its mark even in the deepest corners of the soul. Just like that trick you never quite understood.

A1 Black Magic
Taron-Trekka's nocturnal journey begins funky and dry with the EP's title track. Effects appear and disappear, while a hypnotic pull develops in the distance. A force that is very difficult to escape.

A2 Monofile
In "Monofile," Taron-Trekka conjures a groove as stubborn as it is charming, first bringing vocals and keyboards over a completely straight beat, then making that same rhythm stumble over itself. At the right moment, it undoubtedly elicits as many "ohs" as "ahs" in the club.

B1 Red
From black to red, from night until morning. "Red" was made precisely for that moment, leading everyone to the next after-hour thanks to its swing and depth.

B2 Distance
Quite contrary to what its title suggests, "Distance" can profoundly affect. Especially when one wants to immerse themselves in a funk as subtle as it is expansive. It's like Jan Jelinek at a gallop or SND with more punch. And both are fantastic.
