The second pre-release from Sven Väth’s mighty new album “Catharsis” offers another sneak peek at what’s to come. And let us just say: we couldn’t be more excited for everyone to finally experience Sven’s new masterpiece.

But before we unleash the beast, we decided to release a second single. This time featuring two absolute stand-out tracks. If you’ve heard Sven play over the past few months, you’ll surely recognize both, as they have been key moments in almost all of his sets.

First up, we have “Mystic Voices,” a track crafted during the early stages of the album’s production. Sven was gathering ideas and words, eventually recording the unmistakable vocals during a hectic tour through India, while Gregor spent days and nights on the other side of the planet, in his studio, processing that flow of inspiration. When they finally sat together in the studio, the track quickly came together. Some would call that instant vibe that magic that every creative mind longs to find.

“Butoh” is a raw, dark force, influenced by the Japanese dance of the same name, an art form that deeply impacted Sven during his travels in Japan. It’s an otherworldly-sounding track, still rooted in the realm of techno, but heavily twisted by a long break that introduces Japanese percussions and is finally crowned by the haunting vocals of Cana Hatsushiba.
