Five years after the enigmatic Phylax Society, the eternal sound explorer Sutja Gutierrez returns with Asystole Flatline, a new full-length odyssey to be released in autumn 2025 via Lumière Noire Records.

Asystole Flatline, an album conceived in studios in Barcelona through a process as tactile as it was instinctive, explores naked male vulnerability and the complex emotions surrounding the irrationality behind every heartbreak with raw honesty. There is a latent violence running throughout the album, an energy arising from the frustration of the fatherless man: insecure, seeking something unnameable in different relationships. The work unfolds in dreamlike scenes with unexpected twists, revealing voices ranging from harsh and saturated to delicate whispers.

Gutierrez delivers a work that glides between worlds — part reverie, part vertigo — inhabiting the threshold between what ends and what is to come. With Asystole Flatline, Lumière Noire reaffirms its commitment to bold voices that challenge conventional genre boundaries.

This journey will take on new life on stage this autumn with a rare live performance at the Pitchfork Music Festival Paris, as part of a special Lumière Noire night curated by Chloé. The digital and vinyl editions of Asystole Flatline are scheduled for October 2025, with more live performances to be announced.
