Hamburg producer Martin Stimming has defined a unique shade of deep over years of association with Diynamic Music: melodic and meditative, discreetly captivating, and possessed of a delicate power. Now Stimming enters the universe of Pampa Records with two dance floor-oriented tracks that amplify opposite sides of his studio psyche.

"China Tree" is a stinging affair that sacrifices melodic sweetness in favor of primal bass and drums, with a raw edge and exaggerated percussion that escalates into sharp angles. Whispers grow ominous and arrive with a sense of foreboding, pushing the track's dense sounds towards their final dissolution in a mechanical breakdown accompanied by melancholic strings.

"Southern Sun" is its opposing force, built on whispered phrases and melodic shadows that appear and disappear between each beat. Microsounds layer and weave into a rich, undulating texture that shifts and shimmers like a kaleidoscope. As sunny and dreamlike as it is, the track's unwavering tempo, the eventual appearance of a female vocal, and the piano solo with which it closes clearly define its melodic purpose.
